Enamel microabrasion is an alternative to traditional teeth whitening and works to remove even the smallest stains to improve the appearance of your teeth. When you receive enamel microabrasion, our periodontist will gently clean the stained areas of your teeth with a mild acid. This reduces or removes the discoloration so that we can prepare the tooth and restore its original color and shape. Your tooth is polished to complete the treatment, and the final result is indistinguishable from your other teeth.

While enamel microabrasion is an excellent solution for stains and discolorations on the tooth surfaces, deeper stains inside the tooth structure may require deeper treatments to remove.
